Transport

CASA Transport exists to save lives. We help animals in overcrowded TN shelters by relocating them to our rescue partners in northern states that have available space and waiting adopters. We focus on Middle and West TN to help the rural shelters and pounds that have little adoption traffic. The animals in these areas would often perish if not for transport. We currently help 40 different shelters/rescues/pounds in 32 TN counties.

We hit the highways weekly in our efforts to relocate abandoned animals quickly and efficiently. We generally run one-two transports each week and transport around 200 animals per month. Weekly transports allow us to routinely ease the burden on local shelters and rescues which gives them the space to keep animals that need a little more time to find their perfect match.

Some rural southern pounds aren’t even open to the public. Without rescues to pull the dogs and without the ability to transport them to safety, they would just live out a stray hold period and meet their end.

Transport changes everything for animals in need, but it costs money! We don’t receive adoption revenue to offset expenses. That’s why we rely on generous supporters who believe in our mission. Every donation helps cover fuel, vehicle maintenance, and vaccines, directly giving abandoned animals a new start. We are honored to give them a chance to live and we hope you’ll join us in saving even more lives in the future!
